Description
This is a scarce hard-cover history book (see picture) entitled THE GROSSE POINTE MEMORIAL CHURCH, A HISTORY 1865-1965. This church is located in GROSSE POINTE, MICHIGAN, near Detroit. This book is 110 pages in length, and contains a wealth of historical church information--from the early days and the transition period of 1890-1920 to the names of full-time ministers, a list of the charter members in 1920, and Dr. Barr's sermon at the dedication of the sanctuary in 1927. There are several black and white pictures, too, including the Boy's Choir in 1939, the Chancel in 1959, and the ministers in 1965. This book is clean and intact, exhibiting light wear and discoloration from handling and storage over the past 56 years. There is no handwriting in the book. It would make a nice addition to your own collection, or it would make a wonderful gift for that Grosse Pointe Memorial Church member, Grosse Pointe area historian, or vintage publication collector in your life! Postage is .50. And, of course I'll combine postage on multiple purchases. Sorry, NO international shipping. Be sure to check the other items in my eBay store, too!
