Description
1988-2000 Suzuki DT25C DT30C Oil injection delete block off plate kit.Second picture shows kit installed on a parts motor. You do not have to remove the block to install this. For pictures only. It is easy to install.
Includes:
- block off plate
- OEM Suzuki gasket (16731-95520)
- 2 lock washers
- 2 bolts (10mm) head
Disconnect the oil pump and oil level sensors so alarm will not go off. Remove oil tank. If you have small hands you can pull oil pump off without removing carbs. If you have big hands you will need to remove carbs. If you remove carbs make sure the carb gaskets look good. If they look brittle replace them with new gaskets (Suzuki part# 13125-95D30). Pull oil pump off, pull worm gear out. (Wiggle flywheel while pulling on worm gear with needle nose pliers if it’s being stubborn). Throw oil pump, worm gear housing, and worm gear in the trash.
Clean block/mounting surface with paper towel. Put new gasket on block. Put on block off plate. Put lock washers on supplied bolts, blue locktight on threads is recommended but not needed. Tighten bolts evenly.
Do not over torque, just get snug. The aluminum threads in the block are not cast iron.
Depending on year model, on older DTs you will need to cap the oil injection ports with vacuum caps (you can get them online or part store) on the reed plate and intake. On later model DTs they do not have the ports and you will only need to run a new fuel line (I prefer 3/16 inner diameter Tygon fuel line).
I would recommend draining fuel filter housing and carb bowls (screw at bottom of carb on starter side of engine) of non mixed gas. Then prime the fuel system back up with mixed gas.
