THIS IS A NEW VERSION RELEASED ON 7/3/19 MADE OF STAINLESS STEEL, IT'S ABOUT 4 OUNCES LIGHTER THAN THE ADJUSTABLE CROSMAN VERSION WITH A BRASS ADJUSTER THAT MANY SELL. WE HAVE THE ADJUSTABLE VERSION LISTED ALSO, SOME PREFER THOSE, BUT THESE LIGHT SPRINGS ARE FAR MORE POPULAR.
WE ALSO HAVE AN ULTRA-LIGHT TRIGGER SPRING LISTED, THAT VERSION REQUIRES A FINELY-TUNED TRIGGER GROUP TO WORK SAFELY AND IS ONLY SUGGESTED FOR EXPERT-LEVEL SHOOTERS
This custom light trigger spring
is made of stainless steel. It has an uninstalled pull of about 8 oz in a standard trigger group, only 4 oz in the custom groups we have listed due to the leverage our custom parts generate.
IT WILL ONLY WORK SAFELY WITH A SMOOTH, EASY-FUNCTIONING TRIGGER GROUP. If the group has a stiff-moving trigger, sear or any binding it will not return the sear all the way to the top for safe hammer engagement, This can cause the gun to fire unexpectedly.
If this happens simply stretch it back to a full 1.25" and reinstall. The trigger group can't compress it far enough to cause this issue.
It should be positioned as shown in the last photo with the spring wire end lightly touching the side of the sear.
If installed that way it stays in place on the sear, doesn't touch the trigger frame or cover and works very smooth. Once installed trigger pull will vary by hammer spring tension and how smooth your hammer and sear  function.
Combined with our other custom trigger parts
the pull once installed can be as low as 5 oz with light hammer spring tension and a smooth-working hammer.
With standard factory groups the pull should be around 12 oz to 2.25 lbs or as little as 9 oz to 1.25 lb with models like 2300S that have a very light hammer spring.
Heavier hammer spring tension increases trigger pull because added force on the striker holds the sear in place tighter. If using heavy hammer spring tension the pull may be higher. The custom hammer springs, power adjusters and valves we have listed are designed to produce more power with less hammer force helping to reduce trigger pull at all power levels.
For the best accuracy, striker force should be reduced to the minimum needed to produce the desired FPS. The power adjusters we have listed are designed for this purpose, they can reduce or increase the hammer spring tension.
