***Early 20th Century (1931) Card and letter from Grace Wickersham to a Mrs. Stroud (with daughter Elsie) written while living at the George Washington Inn, in Washington D.C. - She was there with husband James http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/James_Wickersham while he served in Congress for Alaska.
**Mrs. Wickersham was a member of the Alaska Agricultural College and School of Mines Board of Trustees from 1933 to 1935 and a member of the University of Alaska Board of Regents from 1935 to 1941. http://www.alaska.edu/uajourney/regents/1933-1941-grace-wickersha/
**The letter refers to missing a friend while in Alaska and if the Cherry Blossoms in Washington are as beautiful as pictured in the attached card. Signed and dated.
** Size: 8 1/8"inches high x 6 1/2"inches wide folded in half.
** Condition: Not being experts - we believe the item to be in Excellent - Very Good condition, two tiny stains and some darkening of the paper overall.Be sure to check out the photos & ask questions before bidding. Sold As-IS.
