Dakota Digital OBD-II / CAN Interface
Dakota Digital OBD-II/CAN interfaces are designed to plug directly into your engine's diagnostic port, extracting transmission data from the OBD-II computer. They can output speed, rpm, and engine temperature. The interfaces decode the information supplied from the ECM and supply this information to the VFD3 rev. G, VHX and HDX control box instruments.

Product Notes
Due to the various factory and modified ECM's, additional data including (Intake Temp, Transmission Temp, Ambient Air Temp, Oil Pressure, and Gear Position) may be available, but will vary from application to application. Dakota Digital cannot guarantee the presence or accuracy of the Coolant Temp, Intake Temp, Transmission Temp, Ambient Air Temp, Oil Pressure, Boost or Gear Position displays since this is a function of the ECM and matching OEM functional sensors.
The BIM-01-2 is designed to decode the information provided by the ECM through OBD-II and supply this information to the GRFX, RTX, HDX, VHX and VFD3 systems with a black plastic control module. Earlier instrument systems with an aluminum control module are not capable of BIM connectivity
Fitment Information
Fits Vehicles with J1850 and CAN OBD-II protocols only.
Compatible with OBD-II protocols SAE J1850 VPW, SAE J1850 PWM and ISO 15765 CAN 500k 11 bit identifiers that follow the SAE J1979 PID protocol.
Fits 2004-Current Chrysler models and select 98-03 models compatible that have J1850 and CAN OBD-II.
Fits 1996-Current Ford models with J1850 and CAN OBD-II
Fits 1996-Current Ford models with J1850 and CAN OBD-II
Fits 2008-Current all other models with SAE CAN OBD-II.
GM Connect & Cruise packages do not transmit the gear position data, preventing the BIM-01-2 from acquiring this information.
