Description

Original book plate engraving, circa 1870, concerning the residence of "Capt John Rogers" of West View, Ross Township, Allegheny County PA.  Appears to have been professionally framed in 1987. I have confirmed that Capt Rogers (1823-1894) did live in West View, according to the 1873 Pittsburgh City Directory (see image).   Also view his obit that I located. The wood frame measures 22-1/2 x 20-1/2.  Minor cosmetic nicks to the wood.
