    For bid is an original May 1936 Tuolumne, California invitation burnt into a piece of rectangular wood cut by the West Side Lumber Company, like a wooden nickel of the Great Depression era!!
    "Citizens of Tuolumne City extend to you and your family an invitation to participate with them at their Second Annual Tuolumne City Jubilee, Saturday and Sunday, June 6th and 7th A two day celebration sponsored by citizens of Tuolumne City at large commemorative of the reopening of the West Side Lumber Co.'s plant.  HIGHLIGHTS OF PROGRAM Saturday - Parade; Tug of war, Miners vs. Lumberjacks; Greased Pig and Gravel Mucking Contests; Log Sawing; Band Concerts; Two dances in the evening / SUNDAY - Dedication of State Fish Hatchery and Tuolumne Memorial Hall - Dancing Afternoon and Evening - Baseball Game and Many other Attractions. / This announcement is printed on a sample of Sugar Pine Lumber Manufactured by the West Side Lumber Company."
    Pyrography burnt letters and numbers.  Not dated but research indicates this celebration was held in the summer of 1936.  Printed on wooden piece in outstanding condition.
